Inferiority - Superiority Complex.

Thomas Friedman mentions in his book the The World is Flat that other countries have some comparative advantage because of inferiority - superiority complex.  This means that you are jealous of America and its success, but are still confident in your ability to succeed and this makes them especially driven.  I think I suffer from this.  I am jealous of the Ivy league types that dominant the banking / investing ranks, but I also have the hunger that Gordon Gekko says is necessary to move beyond the comfortable $400K a year job.  I may never see $400K a year while the Ivy Leaguers probably will (even if it is from a trust fund), but I'm not going to give up either because I also suffer from the superiority side which tells my id that I am just as good as them, if not better.  Anyone else have this complex?
