There is a Simpson's episode where the evil billionaire, Montgomery Burns, visits the doctor and is told that he has every single disease possible, but they have somehow balanced each other out.  In response to the doctor's comments, Monty Burns says, "So I'm invincible."  The doctor responds, "Lord no.  Any single gust of wind may kill you."  I feel like the US economy is kind of like this right now.
